STROKE INFORMATION

What is a stroke?

There are Two types of strokes or brain attacks. A Hemorrhagic stroke or aneurysm occurs when a ruptured blood vessel causes bleeding inside the brain. The blood spills into or around the brain causing pressure and swelling that results in the death of brain cells An Ischemic stroke occurs when a blood clot or embolism blocks the blood flow of an artery to a part of the brain. When this happens brain cells begin to die. Those are strokes.Every stroke is unique and every recovery is different but they are all life changing. How a stroke patient is affected depends on where the stroke occurs in the brain and how much of the brain is damaged.
